Makerere students undertake re-treatment in Dokolo and Kaberamaido area

Following a call for assistance by the local communities of Dokolo and Kaberamaido a group of 41 veterinary students under the supervision of 14 members of staff from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine were sent to the affected sub-districts of Dokolo and Kaberamaido that had seen a resurgence of sleeping sickness cases. 3,014 cattle owners brought in a total 58,294 heads of cattle for treatment during the five weeks the treatments were undertaken.
